2023 NFC Divisional Round Predictions

Of the 4 teams remaining, 3 are from the surprisingly competitive NFC East. The NFC East has arguably been the best division in football this season and we very well may see 2 teams from this division end up in the NFC Championship.

New York Giants (#6) at Philadelphia Eagles (#1)

The NFC East rivalry matchup is here and it’s going to be a good one. The Giants proved they are a legitimate playoff contender in their road win over the Minnesota Vikings. Brian Daboll is another first year coach who notched their first playoff win. Not only have the Giants been one of the most surprising teams in the league, but the Philadelphia Eagles who were the #1 overall seed in the NFC has been impressive this year. In the 2 times these teams faced earlier this year, the Eagles got the better of the Giants on both occasions. We don’t expect this one to be any different as Jalen Hurts will be starting for the Eagles and with the duo of AJ Brown and Devonta Smith, the Giants defense has no match against this high-powered offense.

Winner: Philadelphia Eagles win 28-16 over the New York Giants

Dallas Cowboys (#5) at San Francisco 49ers (#2)

The Cowboys and the 49ers were the only 2 teams from the Wild Card Round to get commanding wins. The Cowboys were finally able to get past Tom Brady and the 49ers absolutely took control in the 2nd half against the Seahawks to win in a blowout. The 49ers are on the best active win streak in the NFL and we don’t think the Cowboys are going to slow them down. The Cowboys have been unpredictable this year with either blowing out teams or their offense failing to do anything. The Niners defense should have no problem slowing down Dak, but the Cowboys defense will give Brock Purdy his toughest test yet. The Niners edge out the Cowboys in the lowest scoring game of the weekend.

Winner: San Francisco 49ers win 24-14 over the Dallas Cowboys
