2022 NFL Week 13 Predictions

Each week, we break down all the games this weekend and who our predicted winner will be.  Through 12 weeks, we are 114-65-1 in this wild season which continues to get crazier each week.

Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots

This AFC East Showdown between the Buffalo Bills & New England Patriots on Thursday Night is set to be a good one. Both teams have an over .500 record entering this matchup as does the entire AFC East. This matchup will have a lot of playoff implications on the line as the Bills are hoping to win the division title and the Patriots are fighting for a wild card spot. The Patriots defense and Bills defense are in the upper echelon of units in the NFL. The Bills offense is by far superior than the Pats led by MVP Candidate Josh Allen who is seeking his first Super Bowl ring and a huge win on the road in Thursday Night Football against a division foe gets him one step closer.

Winner: Buffalo Bills

Pittsburgh Steelers at Atlanta Falcons

Two teams that have a lot more problems than good going for them. The Steelers had their best showing of the season with Kenny Pickett as the starter in a win against the Colts. The Falcons choked and lost to the Commanders on an interception with less than a minute left. We don’t think either team will play very well and this will be a game you can skip out on watching. The Falcons win in a coin toss.

Winner: Atlanta Falcons

Denver Broncos at Baltimore Ravens

The battle of two offenses who have struggled and 2 defenses who have carried the bulk of the work for their teams. The Ravens and Broncos have two of the top 10 defenses in the NFL but we wish we could say the same about their offenses. The Ravens run offense meets the criteria but they haven’t been able to be as dangerous through the air. Regardless, their offense is still light years ahead of where the Broncos have been this year with the Russell Wilson trade looking like one of the worst moves in franchise history. The Ravens offense does just enough to get past Denver.

Winner: Baltimore Ravens

Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

If there is one thing that Aaron Rodgers does well is dominating the Chicago Bears. Rodgers is going to play despite the injury, Justin Fields may not play. Despite how poor the Rodgers have been thus far, there’s no stopping Rodgers for Chicago.

Winner: Chicago Bears

Jacksonville Jaguars at Detroit Lions

Both teams enter this game with similar problems, atrocious defenses that can’t stop anything or anyone. The Jags offense had a great showing last week but that hasn’t been consistent. The Lions offense is hit or miss but when St. Brown is healthy, they perform better. This very well might be the highest scoring game of the week and we love the fantasy matchups in this game. We’re taking the Lions as they’ll pull out a nail biter.

Winner: Detroit Lions

Cleveland Browns at Houston Texans

In the game we all know that the NFL intentionally set up to cause drama, DeShaun Watson will face his former team in his return to the field. Regardless if Watson was playing or not which we personally don’t think he should ever be allowed to play again, the Browns would win this one solely based on the Texans having one of the worst run defenses in the NFL and the Browns having a power back in Nick Chubb to take control of the game.

Winner: Cleveland Browns

New York Jets at Minnesota Vikings

The New York Jets visit the Minnesota Vikings with both coming off big wins. The Vikings beat New England on Thanksgiving and the Jets dominated the Bears with Mike White at quarterback bringing new life to a quiet offense. The Jets made right decision with White and we expect to see a lot of passes this weekend against Minnesota as they hope to keep up with them. This is going to be a much closer game than people think but Kirk Cousins has more weapons that can last longer in a shootout to help them come out on top.

Winner: Minnesota Vikings

Washington Commanders at New York Giants

The Washington Commanders and New York Giants face off twice over the next 3 weeks. The first game is in New York who is coming off 3 losses in the last 4 weeks, meanwhile the Commanders have won 5 of last 6. These teams might have similar record but are in different spots. The Commanders defense which has been very solid shuts down Daniel Jones to get a huge road win.

Winner: New York Giants

Tennessee Titans at Philadelphia Eagles

One game we’re super excited for this weekend is the Tennessee Titans at the Philadelphia Eagles. This will be the first time AJ Brown will face his former team since they traded him on draft night. On top of that, both teams have two of the best runners in the NFL, the Titans with workhorse Derrick Henry and the Eagles with the versatile quarterback Jalen Hurts. Jalen Hurts set a career high and broke the franchise rushing record for a quarterback last week. Both of these teams love to run the ball and this will be a game determined by athleticism. The Eagles have the best record in the league but face the toughest run defense to date this year in Tennessee who is 3rd in fewest rush yards allowed. This is going to make the Eagles have to adapt which they have two great weapons in Smith and Brown who can make a tough time for the Titans secondary. The Titans have the x factor on their side in Derrick Henry who can completely take over a game and we don’t know if the Eagles have what it takes to handle someone of his caliber. We think the Titans can manage Eagles speedsters, but Henry is a different beast. Titans win in one of the best games of the week handing the Eagles their 2nd loss on the year.

Winner: Tennessee Titans

Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams

The Super Bowl hangover has worsened for the Rams as they have surpassed the loss total they had all of last year by 3 games already. The Rams are a pathetic 3-8 and the Seahawks somehow have doubled their win total. The Seahawks have lost a couple games in a row, but they should get a win to break that streak against a team which looks like a fraction of the team they had last year. The Seahawks defense handles the dismal Rams offense with ease.

Winner: Seattle Seahawks

Miami Dolphins at San Francisco 49ers

Two of the hottest teams in football square off in what could be a potential Super Bowl matchup. The Dolphins currently have the league’s best offense and the 49ers with the best defense. Both of the units are close to fully healthy, so it’s going to come down to the Dolphins defense or the 49ers offense and the 49ers offense is in a better spot right now. Deebo, CMC, Aiyuk and Kittle make Jimmy G have plenty of options which is going to be tough for the weakened Dolphins secondary to maintain. The 49ers take this one, but this might not be the last time these two teams face this season.

Winner: San Francisco 49ers

Kansas City Chiefs at Cincinnati Bengals

In a rematch of the 2022 AFC Championship game, the Kansas City Chiefs square off against the Super Bowl runner up Cincinnati Bengals. This is set to be another shootout like the matchup last year and it’ll be another thriller. Ja’Marr Chase is set to return which is huge if Joe Burrow wants to pull off the upset over Kansas City again. Will Chase be enough though to keep up with Kansas City’s offense and the answer is not right now. We think the Bengals have what it takes to beat Kansas City again in the playoffs, but they need some time for Mixon and Chase to recover to do so. Right now, the Chiefs are playing like the best team in the league and they aren’t slowing down anytime soon. Mahomes works some more magic to take down Cincinnati in this revenge battle.

Winner: Kansas City Chiefs

Los Angeles Chargers at Las Vegas Raiders

Both teams got a much needed win in the last minute of their games last week. The Chargers are in the middle of the playoff hunt and the Raiders are hoping for a miracle to get things back on track. Winner of the last 2 games on the road, the Raiders are inching their way back to .500 and this will be a huge matchup for both teams. We think the Raiders can pull it off to get to 5-7 after their dismal start as the Chargers do what they usually do in the 4th and collapse.

Winners: Las Vegas Raiders

Indianapolis Colts at Dallas Cowboys

We learned from week 12 that the Colts under Jeff Saturday are still bad and that the Cowboys aren’t going to be the same Cowboys that win 40-3 every week. The Cowboys are still the superior team on both sides of the field. The Colts offensive line is one of the worst in the league and the Cowboys front led by Pro Bowl linebacker Micah Parsons is going to make for a very long day for Matt Ryan.

Winner: Dallas Cowboys

New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Since playing for the Buccaneers, the New Orleans Saints have given Tom Brady some trouble. It’s the one team he’s had a hard time getting past but the Bucs won a matchup earlier this year which was a big confidence boost. The game this week is even more important as it could be the last Monday Night Football game we’ll ever see from Brady and the Bucs are tied for division lead with Atlanta and a loss here with an Atlanta win would be a huge blow to their chances of making it. The Bucs need a win here against the division rival and we’ve seen Tom Brady come up clutch before and we’re fortunate enough to see a little bit more Brady magic while he’s still playing.

Winner: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
