The Miami Dolphins signed a one-year prove it deal with wide receiver Will Fuller worth $10 million. Will Fuller has been one of the best deep threats in the NFL since joining the NFL in 2016. That is when Will Fuller plays. Fuller has dealt with injuries, off-field issues surrounding substance abuse and other things that have kept him out of a significant chunk of time. Miami doesn’t put up with people’s problems and has been known to turn people’s careers around with their tough work ethic and disciplinary principles. The Dolphins are also bringing on offensive lineman Isaiah Wilson in a trade with the Tennessee Titans to help get him back on the right track. If Wilson can start, he can provide significant support for Tua to give him time to through the ball. Tua only attempted 2 passes over 50 yards all last season. Fuller had more receptions for 50 plus yards than that himself.
With the additions of Fuller and Wilson, the Dolphins are trying to tweak their offense from one of the league’s worst to being in the playoffs this season. Fuller provides a needed role at wide receiver alongside Devante Parker and tight end Mike Gesicki. Fuller can change the deep game for Miami and be a real playmaker when needed. The Dolphins also own 2 first round draft picks with one of them being the #3 overall pick. The Dolphins should look at using these 2 draft picks in acquiring a top receiver, a running back, or more offensive line support. With doing that and if Fuller/Wilson can both play during the season, the Dolphins will be in a much better spot and should push them over the edge into the playoffs after narrowly missing in the 2020 season.
