Each week we’ll break down three players that should start in your fantasy lineup and three that would be better left on the bench per position. There are players like Josh Allen & Lamar Jackson who are matchup proof and should be in your starting lineups every week barring a major circumstance.
Quarterbacks to Start in Week 6:
Dak Prescott
The Cowboys have put up 20 points or more over the last 3 games with Dak Prescott throwing 2 touchdowns apiece in each of those games. The Cowboys & Dak Prescott should both continue that streak against a Detroit team that ranks bottom 5 in passing yards allowed.
Kirk Cousins
Captain Kirk put up career best numbers in an overtime thriller with a whopping 509 yards on 42 completions. Kirk Cousins looks back in form and we don’t expect him to put anywhere near those numbers against Carolina, but it’s certainly going to be another big game in their rout over them.
Daniel Jones
In 3 of the last 4 games, Danny Dimes has had a passer rating over 100, 2 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. The Giants face a Bengals defense that has been torn apart by quarterbacks this year. The Giants might not win the game, but expect Daniel Jones to have another performance with multiple touchdowns.
Quarterbacks to Sit in Week 6:
Justin Herbert
Vance Joseph has done a commendable job in having the Broncos defense one of the most elite units in the league. This defense led by all-pro cornerback Patrick Surtain II has been shutting opposing quarterbacks down. Even though Justin Herbert is coming off a bye, he’s still a little banged up & we expect the Broncos to give him a rough return.
Trevor Lawrence
Having his best game of the season by far in week 5, Trevor Lawrence is unlikely to repeat that performance anytime soon. He surpassed his previous career high of 368 yards with an impressive 371 yards against the Colts. Even if Jacksonville can pull out the win, it’s unlikely Lawrence surpasses 300 yards as he’s only managed to pull off back to back games with 300+ yards once in his 4 year career.
Kyler Murray
Without the 50 yard rushing touchdown, Kyler Murray wasn’t all that great in the game against the 49ers. He passed for less than 200 yards with one passing touchdown and one interception. It was an average game outside of that massive play. Another tough defense in Green Bay led by newcomer Xavier McKinney is going to give Kyler Murray a harder day and we don’t expect a big day on the ground for the quarterback which is where his fantasy points rack up.
