2024 NFL Week 6 Predictions

Heading into week 6, there’s only 2 undefeated teams remaining in the Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs who funny enough are both on a bye week this week. That leaves us with 14 other games happening across the league and we’ll be breaking down each one of them. Through 5 weeks, we are 44-34 in predicting matchups.

San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks

Injuries have been the name of the game for the San Francisco 49ers as they’ve had Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, CMC, Elijah Mitchell, & a handful of defensive stars miss time at one point this season. Their latest blow was to kicker Jake Moody which played a huge piece into the game script against Arizona that forced them to go without kicking. The Seahawks also lost in week 5, for them, they don’t have any excuses to make as it was at home against a struggling Giants team. The Seahawks get to stay at home again, but the 49ers can still win even with the injuries they’ve been burdened with. The 49ers win and move into a tie for first place in the division.

Winner: San Francisco 49ers

Jacksonville Jaguars at Chicago Bears (London)

The Jaguars play their annual game in London, but this time they are classified as the away team. Regardless of who is the home team or not, this team features two offenses that finally looked like legit offenses in week 5 after they both struggled for the first 4 weeks of the season. This game really could go either way, but we’re giving the edge to Chicago as we’re putting more confidence in their defense to get the job done. A loss in London for Jacksonville could mean that Doug Pederson doesn’t have a job by the time he gets back to the United States.

Winner: Chicago Bears

Arizona Cardinals at Green Bay Packers

The Cardinals might have gotten a big road win against the 49ers, but injuries derailed the 49ers. Specifically, losing kicker Jake Moody mid-game shut down their chances of kicking field goals for the remainder of the game even when they were well within normal range and was forced to go for it on 4th downs. They don’t have the same luck facing a Green Bay team that’s relatively healthy with Jordan Love back in form. We expect this game to be high scoring, but Green Bay with the play of Jordan Love & new defensive star Xavier McKinney will be the difference maker on their way to victory.

Winner: Green Bay Packers

Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans

Despite the narrow loss to the Jaguars, the Colts offense is looking good under Joe Flacco. Assuming the Colts stick with Flacco for another game, they should give Tennessee a tough going coming off their bye.

Winner: Indianapolis Colts

Houston Texans at New England Patriots

The Texans just outlasted the Buffalo Bills, something the current Patriots could only dream of doing. The Patriots couldn’t even beat a Miami team with Tyler Huntley starting at quarterback. This game is going to be a sore sight for Patriots fans as the Texans should easily win by double digits even with the quarterback change for New England.

Winner: Houston Texans

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints

The Buccaneers and Saints both had bad losses in week 5 with the Buccaneers losing in overtime against the Falcons & the Saints getting roughened up by Kansas City who has a depleted roster. This is a big match in the NFC South, both teams need this win and a lot of playoff implications should come from this even though it’s still early on in the season. This is going to come down to who wants this victory more and it’s Baker Mayfield. Baker Mayfield is going to be the x factor for Tampa Bay and put on a big showing. The Saints offense is going to struggle without Derek Carr if he’s unable to play and the Buccaneers get a big win on the road to move to 4-2.

Winner: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Cleveland Browns at Philadelphia Eagles

The only offense that might be worse than the Browns is the Patriots, but unfortunately for Cleveland, they don’t play the Patriots this week. They play the Philadelphia Eagles coming off a well-rested bye week and with a healthy AJ Brown & DeVonta Smith. The Eagles are going to blow the Browns out of the water.

Winner: Philadelphia Eagles

Washington Commanders at Baltimore Ravens

If you asked us at the beginning of the season if we were looking forward to this game, the answer would be no, we don’t need to see another Baltimore blowout. That is not the case today as both teams have two of the most athletic & versatile quarterbacks in the NFL. Jayden Daniels was the answer for Washington and has single handedly turned this franchise around and atop the tough NFC East. Derrick Henry was the perfect addition for Baltimore to not put all the pressure on Lamar’s shoulders. This game is a battle of heavyweights and it can really go either way. Given the experience of Baltimore’s defense, we think they’re going to step up big time and make some big stops down the stretch that Jayden Daniels isn’t accustomed to yet.

Winner: Baltimore Ravens

Los Angeles Chargers at Denver Broncos

The Chargers and the Broncos have reversed roles after week 2. The Chargers were 2-0 and have lost 2 straight. The Broncos started 0-2 and have been winners of 3 straight. The streak will prevail as the Broncos defense has been one of the best in the league. Their offense has had its fair share of struggles much like the Steelers, but the defense just finds ways to win. Justin Herbert might be the best quarterback that this defense has faced but he’s banged up and playing through injury. The Broncos who have shut down opposing teams these last few weeks should be fine even with the Chargers getting the extra rest.

Winner: Denver Broncos

Pittsburgh Steelers at Las Vegas Raiders

Offense was the problem for both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Las Vegas this past Sunday. Justin Fields was rather inaccurate having only completed 56% of his passes. This brings up the question of whether the Steelers will consider putting Russell Wilson who initially was named the starter until a calf injury in training camp set him back. The Raiders have quarterback questions of their own as Minshew was benched during the game in favor of Aidan O’Connell after throwing multiple interceptions including a complete flop in the Red zone that was returned for 100 yards the other way. With offensive words on both sides, the Steelers defense will rise to the occasion as they’ve been an elite group this year and mock the dismal Raiders offense who’s likely seen the last of their lone bright spot in Davante Adams.

Winner: Pittsburgh Steelers

Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys

The Lions are coming off a bye week and are well rested to light up the scoreboard in Dallas. The Cowboys had a storm delay pushing their Sunday Night game all the way into the early hours of Monday morning. The Cowboys pulled out the victory in a sloppy match to go above .500. They now clash with the Lions who use that bye week to their advantage to beat a Dallas team that has too many injuries.

Winner: Detroit Lions

Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers

One game into the return of the Andy Dalton era in Carolina, things looked promising and then quickly faded. 5 games into the Kirk Cousins era in Atlanta and after putting up a whopping 500 yards in a Thursday Night showdown against Tampa Bay, Atlanta is in a good place and should easily beat the Panthers.

Winner: Atlanta Falcons

Cincinnati Bengals at New York Giants

The offensive showcases that the Bengals & Giants put on in week 5 were impressive. The Bengals put up 38 points with Ja’Marr Chase having almost 200 yards receiving in what looked like the Cincinnati offense we’re used to seeing despite the loss. The Giants shocked everyone with the offense clicking on all cylinders and upsetting the Seahawks on the road. Both teams could use a confidence boost with a win, but we just feel there’s no way that the Bengals can seriously move to 1-5. The defense has been the issue and Joe Burrow said they are not a championship level roster, but they certainly aren’t a 1-5 roster either. The Bengals move to 2-4 with another offensive battle taking place.

Winner: Cincinnati Bengals

Buffalo Bills at New York Jets

Aaron Rodgers is the oldest player in the league and it certainly appears that way as he’s been off all season. The Jets only have two wins and they were against New England and a narrow victory over Tennessee. Rodgers needs to retire and hopefully a game getting crushed by the Bills will make him consider doing that sooner than later.

Winner: Buffalo Bills
