2023 Fantasy Football Week 10: Start Em’ or Sit Em’ Quarterbacks

Each week we’ll break down three players that should start in your fantasy lineup and three that would be better left on the bench per position. There are players like Patrick Mahomes & Josh Allen who are matchup proof and should be in your starting lineups every week barring a major circumstance.

Quarterbacks to Start:

Jared Goff

The Detroit Lions are going to be in a shootout with the Los Angeles Chargers and that means a big game is in store for quarterback Jared Goff. The Lions and Chargers should be one of the highest scoring games of the week and we’re expecting multiple touchdowns from Goff and the Lions offense.

Dak Prescott

The Cowboys are huge favorites against the Giants and should take care of them with ease. They should get off to a big lead early and Dak should have a few passing touchdowns early on which should be enough to make him fantasy relevant before he sits the second half after they get a big lead going.

CJ Stroud

Stroud had the best performance from a rookie quarterback we’ve ever seen last week and this week he gets a tough challenge against Cincinnati. We think Stroud keeps the Texans alive in this game and Stroud will surprise a lot of people keeping this to a close game. Stroud should have another game in the 300 yard ballpark.

Quarterbacks to Sit:

Deshaun Watson

Cleveland and Baltimore are two of the best defenses in the NFL and Watson goes up against the latter. Watson has struggled already this season and going up against a defense as elite as Baltimore, it’s going to be a low scoring affair and the Browns offense will struggle.

Kyler Murray

It’s Kyler Murray’s first game back and we’re excited for him to be back. We don’t expect him to be his QB1 self however from the get-go and it’s going to take some time for him to get acclimated to playing again. We think his first week back that we need to set expectations that it’s not going to be a good game for him.

Sam Howell

Sam Howell has been throwing for several hundred yards the past couple games but that was against easier pass defenses. He goes against a Seahawks team that has a few stud defensive backs which will make it a bit tougher to achieve that feat. We think he’ll still throw a lot and be a pass heavy script, just not as much of the stat board will be lit up as he’s done in the past two weeks.
