2025 NFL Week 5 Predictions

We’ve hit week 5 and that means, the first of the bye weeks are here. In week 5, we’ll be without the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, and Pittsburgh Steelers, as they each get their rest knocked out early. We’ll be looking at all the teams that are playing and predicting each matchup. Through 4 weeks, we are 42-21-1 in predicting matchups.

San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams

A key divisional matchup on Thursday Night between two potential playoff teams, yes please! Unfortunately, this game won’t be as exciting as we’d want it to be with the injuries to the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers are really battered up with the entire receiving corps and with Purdy likely to play through his toe injury. The 49ers also faced key losses on defense like Nick Bosa being out for the year. These are all advantages that the healthy Los Angeles Rams are going to play to their benefit. The Rams get a big win, with another Puka Nacua 100+ yard day.

Winner: Los Angeles Rams

Minnesota Vikings at Cleveland Browns (London)

The Minnesota Vikings stay in Europe, with a short trip from Dublin to London to face the Cleveland Browns. The Vikings came up short on their comeback attempt against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Dublin, losing on a last-minute interception, ending their hopes. The Browns just lost 34-10 in a game that could’ve gone much worse. The Browns can’t do much on the offensive side which is why they benched Joe Flacco for Dillon Gabriel. The Vikings defense is going to give them a good ol’ London poundin’ before they go back to the States.

Winner: Minnesota Vikings

Las Vegas Raiders at Indianapolis Colts

Indiana Jones and The Redemption Story is all the talk in Indianapolis as Daniel Jones has the Colts at 3-1, almost 4-0 through 4 weeks. Daniel Jones continues to tear up defenses with the Raiders not even coming close to beating Indianapolis.

Winner: Indianapolis Colts

New York Giants at New Orleans Saints

Turn the TV off if you’re looking for offensive highlights as Jaxson Dart gets his 2nd ever start and the continuing to struggle Saints play. Despite the Malik Nabers injury & Tyrone Tracy injury, Cam Skattebo in a ground & pound play style will bring home the victory for the New York Giants.

Winner: New York Giants

Dallas Cowboys at New York Jets

A game between no defense? If you’re a betting person, take the OVER. The only concern is if the New York Jets can keep up with the Dallas Cowboys. We don’t think so and are taking the Dallas Cowboys to drop 40 points again.

Winner: Dallas Cowboys

Denver Broncos at Philadelphia Eagles

This is an upset match waiting to happen with the Denver Broncos playing the Eagles. The Eagles have the 2nd fewest passing yards per game and the Broncos have the 2nd best defense for points allowed per game. The Eagles might have a lot of points, but all their games have been one score, closely fought battles. They are 4-0, but aren’t playing like a 4-0 team. The Denver defense pulls off a big win, in a low scoring matchup.

Winner: Denver Broncos

Miami Dolphins at Carolina Panthers

Without Tyreek Hill, the Dolphins offense will run through De’Von Achane. We’re going to see a lot of short screens, which the Dolphins have done a lot of this year. The Panthers won’t be able to stop that and Achane puts up a monster performance.

Winner: Miami Dolphins

Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens

Two teams that made the playoffs last year that both find themselves in unfamiliar territory at 1-3 are the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens. One of these teams is going to end up a surprising 1-4 and that is going to be the Baltimore Ravens. This game is going to be much closer than it should be for both teams. It’s going to be an offensive struggle on both sides. The Texans offensive line is awful and the Ravens are going to be without Lamar Jackson. In the limited action that we saw from Cooper Rush, there’s little confidence that he’ll be able to overcome this Texans defense. The Texans win this one in an ugly affair.

Winner: Houston Texans

Tennessee Titans at Arizona Cardinals

The Tennessee Titans are the worst team in the NFL. They are averaging less than 13 points per game and just lost to the Houston Texans, another team that has struggled on offense, 26-0. At this point, it doesn’t really matter who the Titans are playing, they are a fade, giving the Arizona Cardinals an easy win.

Winner: Arizona Cardinals

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Seattle Seahawks

In a game that could go either way, two 3-1 teams battle it out to prove they are a legitimate contender. This is a game we’d avoid if you’re looking to bet. With having to choose, we give the slight edge to Seattle with Bucky Irving doubtful to play & Mike Evans sidelined for the Buccaneers.

Winner: Seattle Seahawks

Detroit Lions at Cincinnati Bengals

After putting up only 13 points in their season opener, the Detroit Lions have put up 52, 38, and 34 in their following 3 games. This Lions team can score and they are going to light up the scoreboard against a bottom tier defense in the Cincinnati Bengals. The Detroit Lions should have another 30+ point finish and win by double-digits.

Winner: Detroit Lions

Washington Commanders at Los Angeles Chargers

The Washington Commanders and Los Angeles Chargers had disappointing road losses in week 4. Arguably, more so for the Chargers who lost their undefeated streak to a winless New York Giants team starting a rookie quarterback. Despite the loss, the defense still played well, it was more so Herbert and the passing game that disappointed. The Commanders struggled on defense more so, giving up big plays to almost all of the playmakers for the Falcons. If Jayden Daniels is back, this game will be close, without him, the Chargers get a bigger edge as they bounce back from a game they want to forget.

Winner: Los Angeles Chargers

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are 4-0 and have the #1 pass defense in the NFL. Drake Maye & the New England Patriots are not going to do anything to get past them. The game will be closer than it should be, but the Bills prevail as they limit Drake Maye’s production.

Winner: Buffalo Bills

Kansas City Chiefs at Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars might be 3-1, but they certainly don’t feel like it. That is exactly why they are going to drop to 3-2 against a team that just made it to the Super Bowl. The Chiefs move to over .500 with a big Monday Night road victory.

Winner: Kansas City Chiefs
