Top 5 Players With The Most To Gain From The 2025 Senior Bowl

Jaxson Dart

With only the Kansas City Chiefs & the Philadelphia Eagles playing for the Super Bowl, other executives across the league are turning their focus towards the Senior Bowl. We’ll be looking at 5 players that NFL scouts need to keep an eye on as they have the most draft stock to gain from this weekend’s activities.

#1: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss

After Cam Ward, there is not a clear #3 quarterback off the board in what’s been a weaker draft class at the position. The quarterback we expect to emerge as the #3 option after the Senior Bowl is Jaxson Dart out of Ole Miss. Dart had his best season of his career with more touchdowns & fewer interceptions, but where he struggles is consistency, specifically around completion % and performance. Dart had games this year throwing 80%+ with multiple touchdowns and then would have games throwing under 200 yards with around 50% completion rate. Dart needs to raise his floor and his style of play reminds us a lot of Anthony Richardson. Dart has the talent & the arm to succeed at the next level, but he needs to work on continually performing. The Senior Bowl gives him the opportunity to play with NFL level talent around him and gives scouts a look at how it might translate to the NFL.

#2: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall

Leading all FBS players in sacks in 2024 was Mike Green out of Marshall. Despite that feat, Green is a projected Day 3 pick. Many argued against the strength of schedule for Green, but during his non conference games against Virginia Tech & Ohio State, he combined for 3 sacks & was one of the leaders in pressures despite the losses. Green had a chance to showcase his skills against a full group of elite lineman and can seriously elevate his draft stock.

#3: Devin Neal, RB, Kansas

In a running back class that’s loaded with day 2 & early day 3 talent, the one that has the most to gain from the Senior Bowl is Kansas back Devin Neal. Neal’s a little bit undersized compared to some of the other backs in this class and was on a Kansas program that’s not known for its football. Neal gives us flashes of Austin Ekeler with his ability to be a threat through the ground game and the air which we’re hoping he can put that on display this weekend.

#4: Harold Fannin Jr, TE, Bowling Green

Harold Fannin Jr had the best season a tight end in college football ever had, but isn’t listed as a top 3 tight end in most draft boards. Not only did he break the all time FBS records for tight ends, he also led all of college football in receiving yards and receptions this season. Critics are coming down hard on the simplistic offense that Bowling Green ran which resulted in easy routes to stat pad. Playing in a different scheme could elevate Fannin Jr into the top 2 tight end conversation if he gets targets thrown his way & capitalizes on them.

#5: Deone Walker, DT, Kentucky

A player that you won’t be able to miss and not just due to his playmaking, but the pure size of him is Kentucky defensive tackle, Deone Walker. Walker comes in at 6’ 6” and a commanding 360 pounds of force. He’s one of the largest players in recent history & we expect him to have a big showing at the Senior Bowl. Walker’s physicality should translate well into the NFL as an elite run stopper.
