Week 17 is here and there’s 13 games remaining. We apologize for the delay in getting this article uploaded with the holiday season upon us. For the first 3 games of the week, we correctly predicted Baltimore, Kansas City, & Seattle. Although we thought the Christmas Day games would be closer than what they were. We’ll be looking at the remaining 13 games across the league. Through 16 weeks, we are 170-70 in predicting matchups.
Los Angeles Chargers at New England Patriots
The Chargers have JK Dobbins back just in time for them to lock up their playoff spot with a win this weekend. Dobbins is going to go off with Gus Edwards out and be comfortable back in his lead role in the rout over New England.
Winner: Los Angeles Chargers
Denver Broncos at Cincinnati Bengals
In a game that the Dolphins & Colts will be paying attention to, the final wild card spot in the AFC playoff race will be held by Denver if they win or it will be a 4 way race for the final spot heading into the final week of the season. The Bengals are going to make it the latter and make for a very interesting final week of the season.
Winner: Cincinnati Bengals
Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams
The Cardinals eliminated themselves from the playoffs with an embarrassing loss to the Carolina Panthers last week. They find themselves on the road facing the division leader in Los Angeles and it’s not going to end well for them. The Rams boast an offense featuring Kyren Williams & Puka Nacua who can help the Rams rack up the points and put this game away early.
Winner: Los Angeles Rams
New York Jets at Buffalo Bills
The Bills can lock up the #2 seed with a win and we think they’ll do just that against a struggling Jets team who just wants the season to be over with. The Bills are going to go nuclear against the Jets and it’s going to be a double digit beatdown.
Winner: Buffalo Bills
Las Vegas Raiders at New Orleans Saints
This game is one you can look past as it’s going to be similar to the Bears-Seahawks game we just had to endure. It’ll be low scoring with two bad teams. The edge goes to the Raiders with a better quarterback & receivers playing.
Winner: Las Vegas Raiders
Indianapolis Colts at New York Giants
As inconsistent as Anthony Richardson is, the Giants are awful and just got smoked by the Atlanta Falcons. It doesn’t matter who plays at quarterback for either team, the Giants are bad and are going to get smoked again. The Colts playoff hopes stay alive for one more week.
Winner: Indianapolis Colts
Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are going to be without Jalen Hurts in this match and face a Dallas defense that has been awful against the run. This is going to be a Saquon Barkley legacy game as Philly runs all over Dallas. Barkley’s stock in the MVP conversation rises after his effort this weekend.
Winner: Philadelphia Eagles
Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs lost a close one to Dallas on Sunday Night Football and need to win this one if they want a shot at winning the division. They lost the lead to the Falcons, but the Falcons have a tough road matchup against Washington and Tampa Bay can potentially go back up 1 game on the Falcons with a win here.
Winner: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars
The Titans and Jaguars are two teams that we can’t seem to get right. They win games they’re supposed to lose and lose games they’re supposed to win. Both are fighting for last in the AFC South and both teams need to make serious changes. After picking both teams wrong last week, we’re going to endure the Titans for one more time and take them to pull off the win.
Winner: Tennessee Titans
Miami Dolphins at Cleveland Browns
The Dolphins were in control against San Francisco and had their best game on the ground all year. Everything was clicking for the Dolphins run game and they’ll have the chance to continue that in a rainy game in Cleveland.
Winner: Miami Dolphins
Atlanta Falcons at Washington Commanders
The Falcons won their first game in the Penix Jr era, but it was the defense and Bijan Robinson who carried the load. This time, they have a real test against Washington in a game where both teams are fighting for a playoff spot. This game has some serious implications behind it and features two rookie quarterbacks going head to head. Daniels has more experience with having played all season and we trust him and the Commanders offense at home to pull off the victory.
Winner: Washington Commanders
Detroit Lions at San Francisco 49ers
The Lions are the real deal and we’re not taking a team that is battered by injuries to pull off the miraculous upset and beat them. The Lions keep their hopes of getting the #1 overall bye alive with a commanding win on Monday Night Football.
