3 more weeks left in the regular season and we have some key playoff implication matchups happening this weekend. We’ll be breaking down each of those matchups along with the remainder of the games across the league. Through 15 weeks, we’re 161-63 in predicting matchups.
Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers
After last week’s bore of a Thursday Night contest, we should have a bounce back in entertainment for viewers. This game features two of the league’s best defenses and two teams fighting for playoff seeding. A win and the Broncos officially clinch their spot which is what we think they will just do. Despite the lack of a run game from both teams, the Broncos are in better shape with Bo Nix who has been turning on his wheels. Herbert’s been a little bit limited and needs his teammates to pick up the slack. This game should finish as a one score game with the edge going to Denver.
Winner: Denver Broncos
Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs
Regardless if Patrick Mahomes plays with his high ankle sprain or not, the Chiefs are still a better team on both sides of the ball. Carson Wentz is a game manager and can just keep the offense in a stable spot while the defense takes advantage of sloppy play from CJ Stroud in his sophomore slump.
Winner: Kansas City Chiefs
Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens
The Steelers have their 5th AFC North matchup of the last 6 weeks as the scheduling odds did not work in their favor. The Steelers play close tight battles against their division rivals and Baltimore the most out of all. After getting a reality check against Philadelphia, the Steelers need to go on the road again into Baltimore and it’s going to be another game on the losing side for Mike Tomlin’s squad. Steelers should keep it closer than the Philly game, but without George Pickens, the Steelers passing game has taken a hit.
Winner: Baltimore Ravens
Los Angeles Rams at New York Jets
The New York Jets finally have their passing game clicking after a disastrous start to the season. It’s a minute too late for them. They still should put up a fight against the Rams, but the Rams are better on both sides of the field and we’re not sure if Rodgers can keep up at his age.
Winner: Los Angeles Rams
Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Commanders
It was all Washington in the first half against the Saints and then the collapse happened where they barely survived by stopping a 2 point conversion. If you want to be taken as a serious playoff team, you can’t do that against teams on their 3rd quarterback. The Eagles are on a 10 win streak and just going to smack the Commanders around.
Winner: Philadelphia Eagles
New York Giants at Atlanta Falcons
Kirk Cousins looks bad and Falcons fans are getting frustrated. They now turn to Penix Jr yet after a disastrous last 6 weeks by Kirk Cousins and they barely scrapped by the Raiders in an ugly 15-9 win. They face another bottom dweller team which should win in Penix Jr’s first start, but it’ll be closer than we all would like and should be very run heavy.
Winner: Atlanta Falcons
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears
The Detroit Lions have been absolutely battered down by injuries, but they’re not giving up yet. The Lions have rallied together in the past and are going to do so as they make their case for the #1 seed in the NFC. This game should be close as the Bears always play Detroit tough even if they get destroyed by other teams.
Winner: Detroit Lions
Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals offense lit up the Tennessee Titans and it was one of the best defensive performances we’ve seen from Cincinnati all year despite what the final score said. We like Cincinnati’s defense to show up again against a shaky Browns offense.
Winner: Cincinnati Bengals
Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts
The Titans have been eliminated from the playoffs and are turning to Mason Rudolph at quarterback as it seems like the days of Will Levis in Tennessee are dwindling. The Titans should see a spark in their offense from a more accurate passer. The Titans very well can win this game on the road and we think they’ll do just that to eliminate the Indianapolis Colts from playoff contention with the way the Colts have turned the ball over.
Winner: Tennessee Titans
Arizona Cardinals at Carolina Panthers
The Panthers were a huge letdown last week in their first matchup they were favored to win in a couple years. The Cowboys run game tore them apart. The Cardinals have a superior unit to the Cowboys with James Conner red hot right now. It’s going to be a 100+ game on the ground for James Conner and he’s our start of the week in fantasy.
Winner: Arizona Cardinals
Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks
With the Seahawks likely starting Sam Howell, the Vikings who have been one of the biggest surprises this season are going to take full advantage of this mismatch. The Vikings should be more than 3 points favorites and we’re expecting a game similar to what they just did against Chicago.
Winner: Minnesota Vikings
New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen is on another level right now and is locking up the MVP award. The Bills face the Patriots twice and Jets once to wrap up the year. These last 3 games are time to pad up his stats and case to win the award as he wipes the floor with each of these next opponents.
Winner: Buffalo Bills
Jacksonville Jaguars at Las Vegas Raiders
There’s always one bottom feeder matchup each week and this week’s game features the Jaguars with Mac Jones and the Raiders with Desmond Ridder. Both teams should want to lose this game for better draft position, but the Jaguars need the win more for a boost on team morale. We trust the Jaguars more to put up points with Mac Jones.
Winner: Jacksonville Jaguars
San Francisco 49ers at Miami Dolphins
Both 6-8 teams have been below expectations with injuries hurting both teams all season. This team should still be entertaining to watch. Despite both teams playing ugly football last week. We’re expecting a surge in points and the difference maker being the poor decisions from Tua yet again. Tua has single handedly cost the Dolphins games and the 49ers are going to take advantage of that on the road.
Winner: San Francisco 49ers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys
The Buccaneers just smacked around the league’s best defense, they now face one of the worst (albeit due to injuries). The Buccaneers are going to tear Dallas apart with Baker having another electric performance.
Winner: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
New Orleans Saints at Green Bay Packers
Jake Haener was pulled in the game last week in favor of rookie Spencer Rattler. Rattler was inaccurate but sparked some life into New Orleans as they came up a failed 2 point conversion short of upsetting Washington. Regardless of who plays, neither quarterback is good enough to put up a fight against Green Bay. The Packers surprised us with their beat down of Seattle last week and should have another massive beat down against New Orleans on Monday Night Football.
