Each week we’ll break down wide receivers that should start in your fantasy lineup and wide receivers that would be better left on your bench. There are some players like Justin Jefferson & Ja’Marr Chase who are matchup proof and should be in your starting lineups every week barring a major circumstance.
Wide Receivers to Start in Week 12:
Terry McLaurin
McLaurin quietly is top 10 in receiving yards on the season and can move into the top 5 with the Commanders plummeting the Cowboys. McLaurin is in line for a monster performance.
Adam Thielen
Thielen is back and we know he is Bryce Young’s favorite target. Thielen is in store for a high target game even if it doesn’t translate into yards or scores.
Ladd McConkey
The Ravens have one of the worst pass defenses in the league and Justin Herbert takes advantage of that by passing to his new favorite target in Ladd McConkey. The rookie is in line to get some serious yardage.
Wide Receivers to Sit in Week 12:
Jakobi Meyers
Meyers is being outperformed by rookie tight end Brock Bowers and on top of that, the Raiders face the best pass defense in the league in Denver who has all-pro corner Patrick Surtain II that locks down all receivers he faces.
Xavier Worthy
The Chiefs finally have been getting Xavier Worthy going, but he’s a boom or bust option in week 12. The Chiefs are going to win by double digits, but if Xavier Worthy doesn’t score, he’s a fade in our book. The Chiefs are going to rely heavily on Hopkins & Kelce the pass game and the game script is going to call for more runs in the second half.
Ricky Pearsall
Pearsall was held without a catch last week and we expect him to bounce back from that dud. However, we don’t think he is going to have the performance he had just a couple weeks ago with backup quarterback Brandon Allen under center. With Brock Purdy and a more favorable matchup, we might turn to Pearsall, but for now, he’s worth rostering and keeping on the bench until the fantasy playoffs roll around.
