2024 Fantasy Football Week 12: Start or Sit Quarterbacks

Each week we’ll break down three players that should start in your fantasy lineup and three that would be better left on the bench per position. There are players like Josh Allen & Lamar Jackson who are matchup proof and should be in your starting lineups every week barring a major circumstance.

Quarterbacks to Start in Week 12:

Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes has not been fantasy relevant this year despite the Chiefs being 9-1. The Chiefs have won a lot of close games, but finally they’ll have the opportunity for an absolute beatdown matchup. They’re going to tear through Carolina and Mahomes will have just his 6th multi-touchdown game of the year.

Baker Mayfield

Baker has been one of the top fantasy quarterbacks on the year and that’s been through some tough matchups he’s faced to get there. He now gets an easy matchup against a 2-8 Giants who released Daniel Jones and committed to the tank. Baker and the entire Bucs offense are must starts.

Justin Herbert

The Ravens rush defense is great, their pass defense not so much. Almost every game they’ve played in, they’ve allowed the opposing quarterback to look great and keep their team in the game. Regardless of who wins, Herbert’s going to have a high yardage game if Ladd McConkey suits up.

Quarterbacks to Sit in Week 12:

Tommy DeVito & Brandon Allen

The two quarterbacks are filling in as the new starting quarterback in New York & for an injured Brock Purdy respectively. Both quarterbacks we’ve seen in the past are serviceable but nothing more than that. Neither are fantasy relevant options.

C.J. Stroud

Stroud has only managed one game above 20 fantasy points, yet is still rostered in 95% of fantasy leagues. He has the best opportunity to accomplish that feat again facing one of the friendliest fantasy opponents in Tennessee, but we think Joe Mixon is going to be the one to shine and take the touchdowns away from Stroud & the pass game.
