We’re 10 weeks into the season and there still remains one unbeaten team in Kansas City. How long will their streak go on for? Continue reading to see if we have them winning against Buffalo & all the other matchups across the league. Through 10 weeks, we are 104-48 in predicting matchups.
Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles
The winner of this game is NFL fans as Thursday Night games tend to be a bit of a bore, but this is a thrilling showdown for control of first place in the NFC East. This game features two of the best young mobile quarterbacks in the league in Jayden Daniels & Jalen Hurts. Regardless of the outcome of this game, Daniels is going to win rookie of the year. Daniels & the rest of the Commanders offense has struggled closing against better teams like Baltimore & Pittsburgh which is why we’re siding with the Eagles. The Eagles are in that category of better teams and going to give Washington their 4th loss on the season. This portion of the article was written before the match & our outcome would not change.
Winner: Philadelphia Eagles
Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears
In a battle of the rookie quarterbacks, Caleb Williams was outplayed by Drake Maye in every way. Caleb Williams has the talent around him to succeed, but dropped the ball big time against the Patriots last week. The competition just got tougher against a division rival who is coming off a bye. It doesn’t matter where this game is being played, Green Bay smokes Chicago.
Winner: Green Bay Packers
Jacksonville Jaguars at Detroit Lions
With Trevor Lawrence missing a game, it was interesting to see what a change in quarterback would do to the offense and the answer was nothing. Mac Jones managed to put up a whopping 7 points for the Jaguars in their ugly 12-7 loss to the Vikings. The Jaguars had every chance to win it as their defense stepped up to force 3 interceptions on Sam Darnold and stopped them from scoring a touchdown in the game even when they were within the redzone. Unfortunately, the offense couldn’t do anything and that trend is going to continue against even better opponents. The Lions get a cake walk after a stretch of tough games lately.
Winner: Detroit Lions
Minnesota Vikings at Tennessee Titans
Despite a poor performance from Sam Darnold and the offense, the Vikings found a way to win against Jacksonville. We expect them to fare better against Tennessee and Sam Darnold get back into the swing of things.
Winner: Minnesota Vikings
Las Vegas Raiders at Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins offense has shown flashes of its true potential but Tua needs to stop making unforgivable mistakes. He has the next 2 weeks against bottom feeder teams to correct course before a Thanksgiving showdown at Green Bay.
Winner: Miami Dolphins
Los Angeles Rams at New England Patriots
Two teams that our very different than what their record says. The Rams are better than their 4-5 record as they missed their top weapons for half the season. The Patriots are 3-7 but feel like an 0-10 team. The Rams bounce back from their worst offensive showing of the season to destroy the Patriots who barely survived the Bears.
Winner: Los Angeles Rams
Cleveland Browns at New Orleans Saints
Jameis Winston gets a shot at beating his former team & Derek Carr who he had to ride the bench for during his tenure in New Orleans. Jameis has a shot at beating New Orleans as Derek Carr is without his two top weapons in Chris Olave & Rashid Shaheed, so a shootout would side with Cleveland. This game is going to be ugly and low scoring, it could go either way, and we’re going to side with New Orleans in our coin flip.
Winner: New Orleans Saints
Indianapolis Colts at New York Jets
The Indianapolis Colts are committing to Anthony Richardson for not just this game, but the rest of the season. After letting Flacco start the last couple games, the Colts are going to develop Richardson. Richardson should have Michael Pittman Jr & Jonathan Taylor both healthy as well which should help in his first game back from being benched. They play another team who’s in a desperate state to win in the New York Jets. The Jets need a win to save their season which we think they’ll get but their season is already over.
Winner: New York Jets
Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers
The Baltimore Ravens are facing the Pittsburgh Steelers and the game is at 1 o’clock, this feels like it should be in primetime with how exciting this game is going to be. Both teams have 7 wins and this game will have serious playoff implications behind it. The Ravens currently lead the league in points per game, but if we’re looking at points over the last 3 weeks, the Steelers aren’t far behind. We look at just the last 3 weeks as this is when Russell Wilson has played and has catapulted this offense from 21 points per game to 30 points per game. The two offenses are going to clash with one another, but where the Steelers have the edge is on defense with a top 5 defense on the entire season where the Ravens pass defense has been unusually rough. If the Steelers can get up early & force the Ravens to pass instead of rushing with Derrick Henry, the Steelers will pull out the win.
Winner: Pittsburgh Steelers
Atlanta Falcons at Denver Broncos
One of the league’s best defenses faces one of the league’s worst defenses. One would assume that the team with the best defense would win, but the Broncos just don’t have an offense. The Falcons flopped against the Saints in a game they should have won & the Falcons have enough weapons on their team that Patrick Surtain II isn’t going to be able to contain everyone. If Bijan can get hot, the Falcons can win against a Denver team that struggles to match Bijan’s performance.
Winner: Atlanta Falcons
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers got Christian McCaffrey back this past week and it was evident they missed him. CMC had over 100 yards from scrimmage and was a key focal point of the offense. We expect him to get increased usage against Seattle on their way to a commanding victory.
Winner: San Francisco 49ers
Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills
If this game was in the postseason, our pick would be for the Kansas City Chiefs who are 3-0 with Patrick Mahomes against the Bills. However, in the regular season, it’s Josh Allen who is victorious and is 3-0 in the regular season against the Chiefs. That trend continues as Josh Allen has another one of his superman games to end the Chiefs undefeated season.
Winner: Buffalo Bills
Cincinnati Bengals at Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers might be 6-3 and have allowed the fewest points per game of any team in the NFL, but they’ve only played 3 teams with a winning record and in all 3 of those games they lost. They have yet to face an offense that ranks in the top 10 yet this year until this week where they face the Cincinnati Bengals who are in desperation mode. Picking Joe Burrow with the season on the line is something we would be stupid not to do. We’re taking Burrow in villain mode & making the Chargers defense give up the most points they’ve given up all season.
Winner: Cincinnati Bengals
Houston Texans at Dallas Cowboys
The battle of the Lonestar state isn’t going to be much of a battle at all as the Cowboys season is doomed. Without Dak Prescott, the Cowboys could only manage 6 points with Cooper Rush starting against the Eagles. They did give Trey Lance some playing time and regardless of who starts between the two, the Cowboys are going to lose at home for the 6th straight game.
