2024 Fantasy Football Week 10: Start or Sit Running Backs

Each week we’ll break down running backs that should start in your fantasy lineup and running backs that would be better left on your bench. There are just a few players like Saquon Barkley or Derrick Henry who are matchup proof and should be in your starting lineups every week barring a major circumstance.

Running Backs to Start in Week 10:

D’Andre Swift

The Patriots are one of the worst teams in football and the Bears are going to take full advantage of that in their bounce back win. With Khalil Herbert out of the picture after being traded to the Bengals, Swift has less competition to split carries with and is going to take full control over the Patriots.

Tyrone Tracy Jr

The Carolina Panthers are giving up the most rushing yards per game with 159.3 per game. The Giants can’t throw the ball & are going to run all over this Panthers team no matter how close the game is. Rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr has taken over lead back duties for New York and is going to have a big day.

Chuba Hubbard

On the other side of the field in the Giants matchup is Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard. Hubbard’s already been having himself a season and earned a 4 year contract extension as a result. Chuba is the main guy in Carolina and it’s why they’ve put off activating rookie Jonathan Brooks for so long. Hubbard is going to have himself a monster day after his monster pay day.

Running Backs to Sit in Week 10:

Travis Etienne & Tank Bigsby

With Trevor Lawrence unlikely to play, the whole Jaguars offense takes a hit to what’s already been a bad offense this year. If Lawrence plays, it’s not much better. Both Bigsby & Etienne are suiting up this week after having the questionable mark all week, but both have struggled in recent weeks, Etienne especially. Both need to be faded against a surprisingly tough Vikings defense. The Jaguars are going to get slaughtered and we’re not taking anyone on the Jaguars this week.

Jonathan Brooks

Jonathan Brooks is set to make his season debut this weekend in Germany, but that doesn’t mean he is going to get the starting duties from the get-go. Chuba Hubbard has earned that role and an extension which is going to be tough to take away. Brooks is going to have to fight for every touch he gets as the Panthers are set on Hubbard despite drafting Brooks in the second round. We’re going to need to wait on Brooks for him to earn his keep in the offense.
