Each week we’ll break down wide receivers that should start in your fantasy lineup and wide receivers that would be better left on your bench. There are some players like Justin Jefferson & CeeDee Lamb who are matchup proof and should be in your starting lineups every week barring a major circumstance.
Wide Receivers to Start in Week 8:
Tyreek Hill & Jaylen Waddle
After the Dolphins offense has been dormant the last few weeks, Tua Tagovailoa will start Sunday against the Cardinals. With Tua in the picture, the rest of the offense gets an uplift, especially wide receivers Tyreek Hill & Jaylen Waddle who have been hurt the most without Tua. With him playing this weekend, both Tyreek & Waddle are now worth starting.
Darnell Mooney
The last time the Falcons & Buccaneers faced off, Darnell Mooney had his best game of the season with over 100 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns. Mooney & Drake London should have big games in a big divisional win for the Falcons.
Wide Receivers to Start in Week 8:
Diontae Johnson
With Andy Dalton missing this game & Bryce Young getting the start, Diontae Johnson goes back to sitting on the bench.
DeAndre Hopkins
It’s tempting to start Hopkins in his first game as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, but we’re expecting him to see a limited snap count in this game. First off, the days of Hopkins being fantasy relevant have been over, but with a new team & the team already having established presence with other players, we’re not expecting him to be a breakout for them, but rather just a role player to provide some depth.
Jalen McMillan
With both Mike Evans & Chris Godwin both going down to injury, Jalen McMillan steps into the role of Wide Receiver #1 for the Buccaneers. These are big shoes to fill and we’re not sure that he’s going to be able to do the job. We’re rooting for him, but against a Falcons defense that features AJ Terrell, it might need to wait a couple weeks for him to get into the swing of things.
