Each week we’ll break down running backs that should start in your fantasy lineup and running backs that would be better left on your bench. There are just a few players like Saquon Barkley or Derrick Henry who are matchup proof and should be in your starting lineups every week barring a major circumstance.
Running Backs to Start in Week 8:
Javonte Williams
After being written off, Javonte Williams has done well the last couple games and is in line for his best game on the season. The Broncos are our favorite team of the week and we’re expecting Javonte’s biggest performance of the season against a horrid Panthers defense.
Rachaad White
With the passing offense depleted & Bucky Irving banged up, White is in line for a bigger role this weekend. This is White’s time to shine & there’s no better opportunity than this weekend against a division rival.
Kareem Hunt
The Chiefs are going to walk all over the Raiders on their way to 7-0 and it’s going to be all ground & pound. The Chiefs don’t even need Pacheco to have a 100+ yard rusher as Kareem Hunt will do the job just fine.
Running Backs to Sit in Week 8:
Nick Chubb
It was great to see Nick Chubb make his season debut last week, but he couldn’t even muster 40 yards rushing on the day and without his touchdown, he wouldn’t have been worth starting. Chubb is a touchdown dependent start.
Travis Etienne
If Etienne suits up, he’s not going to be doing much for the team. Etienne is slowly losing his job to Tank Bigsby. The Jaguars as a whole are likely to struggle against Green Bay and with Etienne in the picture, it’s going to be a rough go for the struggling back.
Jonathan Taylor
After missing the last 3 games due to a high ankle sprain, Jonathan Taylor is back in action against Houston. The Texans have been surprisingly decent against the run this year, but regardless, we’re not trusting Taylor in this one. Taylor should still finish as someone worth a flex, but asa your running back #1,we’re fading him. Taylor has been limited in practice and the Colts are going to be mostly playing from behind, there’s better options available this week.
