Each week we’ll break down wide receivers that should start in your fantasy lineup and wide receivers that would be better left on your bench. There are some players like Justin Jefferson & CeeDee Lamb who are matchup proof and should be in your starting lineups every week barring a major circumstance.
Wide Receivers to Start in Week 6:
Wan’Dale Robinson
With Malik Nabers out another week due to concussion protocol, Wan’Dale Robinson becomes the #1 receiver in an offense that is surprisingly doing well with Danny Dimes. Robinson is 2nd in targets on the Giants behind Nabers and has gotten a combined 23 targets over the last 2 games. Volume is king and that’s the name of the Game for Robinson in what’s going to be a pass heavy Sunday Night Showdown.
Tee Higgins
Only playing 3 games and Tee Higgins is 2nd in receptions, targets, and yards for the Bengals offense. He’s been becoming a larger part of the offense each week he’s played this season as he’s become healthier. The Bengals were in a shootout in week 5 which led to Tee Higgins having 2 touchdowns and they will be in another shootout in week 6 which will lead to another big night from Ja’Marr Chase & Tee Higgins.
Darnell Mooney
After 2 tumultuous years with Justin Fields as his starting quarterback, Darnell Mooney appears to be turning his career around in his new home in Atlanta with Kirk Cousins as his quarterback. Mooney has over 300 yards receiving through his first 5 games and 3 touchdowns. Mooney might not repeat his week 5 performance with 2 touchdowns, but he has a very favorable matchup against a dismal Panthers defense that is about to get lit up by the Falcons offense.
Wide Receivers to Sit in Week 6:
Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed
Derek Carr is going to miss some time with an oblique injury and instead of going to backup Jake Haener, they are opting for rookie Spencer Rattler to see what he can offer. With the uncertainty in how well he’s going to play, especially against division rival Tampa Bay, we’re fading both Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed. Alvin Kamara is the only player on the Saints that we can trust this week.
Quentin Johnston
Lining up against Patrick Surtain II is a very difficult task to do and Quentin Johnston is not experienced enough to succeed in this matchup. The receivers are going to struggle and it’s going to impact Justin Hebert’s output as well.
