Each week we’ll break down wide receivers that should start in your fantasy lineup and wide receivers that would be better left on your bench. There are some players like Justin Jefferson & CeeDee Lamb who are matchup proof and should be in your starting lineups every week barring a major circumstance.
Wide Receivers to Start in Week 5:
Wan’Dale Robinson
With Malik Nabers out & Devin Singletary out, Wan’Dale Robinson is now the best player in this offense. He should expect a high target game even if it doesn’t yield any touchdowns.
Michael Pittman Jr
With Anthony Richardson out, Joe Flacco makes the team a much stronger pass offense. Jonathan Taylor also being out, makes them rely on Flacco and the pass offense even more. Michael Pittman Jr is a must start in their absences.
Dontayvion Wicks
With Christian Watson out with an injury and the Packers suspending Romeo Doubs, this catapults Dontayvion Wicks into a larger role in the offense. We love this matchup for him, Jayden Reed, & Tucker Kraft, with Wicks being the biggest beneficiary of the 3.
Wide Receivers to Sit in Week 5:
Tyreek Hill & Jaylen Waddle
We never thought we would feature Tyreek Hill in this spot, but he’s had 87 total yards combined in his last 3 games. Jaylen Waddle hasn’t done much better with 103 yards over the last 3 games. Without Tua, this offense is dead in the water & Achane might be the only startable player right now. We understand needing to start Tyreek if you don’t have anyone on the bench good enough to replace him with, but if you have someone like Jakobi Meyers, Diontae Johnson, or Wan’Dale Robinson, we would prefer them over Hill & Waddle this week.
Keenan Allen
The Bears offense hasn’t done very well this year & even though a matchup against Carolina looks favorable on paper, we think if it’s going to go well in the passing game, DJ Moore is the guy we like in the offense. Keenan Allen is a deep flex play at best.
