Each week we’ll break down three players that should start in your fantasy lineup and three that would be better left on the bench per position. There are players like Josh Allen & Lamar Jackson who are matchup proof and should be in your starting lineups every week barring a major circumstance.
Quarterbacks to Start in Week 4:
Dak Prescott
The Cowboys might be 1-2 this season, but one thing that they do well and in commanding fashion is beat the Giants. The Cowboys have won 13 of the last 14 and always seem to put up the points against New York. Dak Prescott should have his best game of the year in their rout on Thursday Night Football.
Baker Mayfield
Baker Mayfield was one of our favorite starts of the week last week, but that turned out to be a bust as the Buccaneers fell flat against Denver. Nothing was working for Tampa Bay and Baker had his worst game of the year. Through the first 2 weeks of the year, he was fantasy qb #1 and we expect him to get back into the top 10 this week in a game where the ball is going to be thrown a lot. Even against a tough Philly team, we expect the Buccaneers passing game to kick things up a notch from last week and Baker continuing to prove doubters wrong.
Jayden Daniels
Through 3 games, Jayden Daniels has quickly emerged as a top 5 fantasy quarterback on the year. He’s accomplished that feat with only throwing 2 passing touchdowns as well. Daniels has been able to get the job done on the ground. Daniels is a must start from here on out even if Washington loses.
Quarterbacks to Sit in Week 4:
Malik Willis / Jordan Love
The Packers are looking to play spoilers against a surprising 3-0 Minnesota Vikings. Jordan Love is trending towards playing but he’s banged up and against a tough Minnesota defense, we don’t love him looking like his old self. If Willis plays, he’s been serviceable for the Packers but the Vikings are a step up in competition and going to put the pressure on him.
Anthony Richardson
Despite Richardson himself looking poor, he’s been semi fantasy relevant with the explosive plays and the yards on the ground. He now faces the #1 defense in the league in Pittsburgh and it’s going to be a long game for Richardson as him & the Colts fall to 1-3.
Justin Herbert
The Chiefs might be 3-0 but they’re giving up the 5th most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks. We think that number improves this week as Justin Herbert is banged up. If Herbert plays, we’ve seen in the past when he’s hurt that he is not himself. It would be best for Chargers to sit him, but Herbert is likely to play and is going to cause the Chargers to lose.
