2024 Fantasy Football Week 3: Start or Sit Quarterbacks

Each week we’ll break down three players that should start in your fantasy lineup and three that would be better left on the bench per position. There are players like Josh Allen & Lamar Jackson who are matchup proof and should be in your starting lineups every week barring a major circumstance.

Quarterbacks to Start in Week 3:

Baker Mayfield

The Buccaneers are undefeated and get a home game against a Denver team that has no offense. This sounds like a blowout waiting to happen. Baker has been superb this year throwing 5 touchdowns so far and he’s bound to have another multi-touchdown game this week.

Kyler Murray

Kyler Murray was the quarterback of the week last week as he lit up the scoreboard with his electric plays. From here on out, Kyler Murray is entering must start territory if the offense continues to look like they did against the Rams.

Joe Burrow

The Bengals have started 0-2 for another year and this is the time when reality kicks in and they shift things into high gear. Joe Burrow plays best when he’s on a mission and being down 0-2 is the start of his redemption arc against a weak Washington defense.

Quarterbacks to Sit in Week 3:

Trevor Lawrence

Trevor Lawrence has only managed to throw one touchdown this season as the offense has struggled. They now face a Bills team that just shut down Miami’s fire powered offense. We don’t have much faith for Trevor Lawrence and the Jags to fare any better.

Matthew Stafford

After a solid performance in week 1, the Rams were shut down against the Arizona Cardinals. Matthew Stafford is going to be without Puka Nacua who is on the IR & Cooper Kupp who might as well be on the IR. Without his top two options, Stafford is a fade until at least one of the two are back.

Dak Prescott

The Cowboys offense was shut down against New Orleans and it’s possible we see that happen again this week against the Ravens. Even if they don’t, the Ravens boast an elite secondary that will make the Cowboys offense have a difficult time. With the possibility that Jake Ferguson is out again, the Ravens will lock down even more on CeeDee Lamb, essentially Prescott’s lone receiver.
