2023 Fantasy Football Week 12: Start Em’ or Sit Em’ Quarterbacks

Each week we’ll break down three players that should start in your fantasy lineup and three that would be better left on the bench per position. There are players like Patrick Mahomes & Lamar Jackson who are matchup proof and should be in your starting lineups every week barring a major circumstance.

Quarterbacks to Start:

Kyler Murray

Kyler Murray is back! We didn’t know how long it would take for him to fully recover and look like his old self, but it looks like he hasn’t missed a beat. We trust Kyler Murray for most games moving forward.

Brock Purdy

After having a perfect passer rating last week, Brock Purdy is him. Even with a tougher matchup against Seattle, Purdy is the guy and we trust him to get the job done on the road.

Dak Prescott

Another Dallas Cowboys matchup against a team with a losing record. Dallas should blow them out which means another multi touchdown game for Dak Prescott as the Cowboys go up big early. Dak Prescott is our start of the week against a Washington defense that just made Tommy DeVito look like a star.

Quarterbacks to Sit:

Russell Wilson

The Broncos have been on a 4 game winning streak with Russell Wilson playing some of his best football since he’s been in Denver. They now get to face one of the best defenses in the NFL in Cleveland who can completely shut down opposing offenses. We think this is going to be a low scoring affair and Wilson won’t produce as much.

Justin Herbert

Herbert has been one of the top quarterbacks in all of football this season and this might be one of the only times he’ll ever see his name on this list, but against a tough Baltimore defense, we’re not trusting the Chargers offense. We think Herbert still should finish in the top half of quarterbacks, but we don’t see him finishing in the top five this week where he typically finds himself.

Tua Tagovailoa

Another big name quarterback like Herbert who finds himself on this list is Tua. The Dolphins go up against the Jets who surprisingly have a decent pass defense led by Sauce Gardner. The Dolphins haven’t looked as hot as they did at the beginning of the year which is why we think Tua might have a bit of a bumpy game against the Jets even if the Dolphins win the game.
