Each week we’ll break down one player that should start in your fantasy lineup and one that would be better left on the bench per position. There are just a couple players like Christian McCaffrrey who are matchup proof and should be in your starting lineups every week barring a major circumstance.
Running Backs to Start:
David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs
This week, we’re doing a special two in one start. Both the Lions running backs need to be started. We have seen them both succeed on a couple occasions and this is one of them as they go against a lowly Chicago Bears defense. The duo could very easily have 100 yards apiece. We think both will score touchdowns and both be two of the top ten running backs on the week.
Brian Robinson Jr.
Brian Robinson Jr had his best game of the season last week and now the Commanders play the Giants who continue to get demolished. The Commanders aren’t great, but a Giants team allows their offense to look like an actual team. Brian Robinson Jr is in store for another big day and we’ll see if he can get close to repeating his performance from last week.
Running Backs to Sit:
Rachaad White
The Buccaneers run game has already been on a struggling season and now get the 49ers who just shut down Travis Etienne and the entire Jaguars offense. Rachaad White is going to struggle to hit 50 yards on the day.
Najee Harris
Najee Harris has already been losing touches to Jaylen Warren and now a tough game against the Browns elite defense is going to see Najee getting very limited action. We’re fading the entire Pittsburgh Steelers offense this week starting with Najee.
Raheem Mostert
With Achane activated off of injured reserve, this is going to take away carries from Mostert who has been the Dolphins lead back since he’s been out. We saw the two of them can succeed when playing together, but the last couple weeks, we haven’t seen the same energy from the Dolphins and not sure we’re going to get that this week. We think Mostert is worth starting at the flex, but as your lead back or higher end number two, there’s better options out there.
