The last two unbeaten teams have fallen and the top overall record in the NFL is now up for grabs with a 5 way tie for it. The Eagles & Dolphins face each other meaning one 5-1 team has to fall. Who will it be? We’ll be breaking down that matchup and the remaining games in week 7. Through six weeks so far, our record predicting games is 62-31.
Jacksonville Jaguars at New Orleans Saints
Both teams are playing on a short week and the Jaguars might be without Trevor Lawrence. We’re in store for a rather sloppy matchup that will come down to which defense can stand their ground better. We think that’s going to be New Orleans if the Jaguars are without Lawrence.
Winner: New Orleans Saints
Las Vegas Raiders at Chicago Bears
Both the Raiders and Bears should be without their starting quarterbacks this week. It comes down to who do we trust more, Brian Hoyer or Tyson Bagent? The answer is Brian Hoyer who has more experience and we believe he can keep the offense alive for the Raiders to have their best game of the season.
Winner: Las Vegas Raiders
Cleveland Browns at Indianapolis Colts
The Cleveland Browns defense is legit and have been able to shut opposing offenses down including Super Bowl favorite San Francisco. The Colts offense hasn’t been stellar this year and Jonathan Taylor is still working his way back into his usual role. The Browns defense should be able to contain the Colts offense who are looking to find their rhythm with Anthony Richardson undergoing season ending surgery.
Winner: Cleveland Browns
Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots
The Patriots offense is awful, this is the worst team that Bill Belichick has ever had and it shows. Mac Jones is not the answer and the Bills defense is going to have a field day against them.
Winner: Buffalo Bills
Washington Commanders at New York Giants
The Commanders had their best offensive game of the season in a win against Atlanta last week. The Giants offense has continued to struggle and it doesn’t matter who plays quarterback, that offensive line is awful. The Commanders offensive line is also pretty bad as Sam Howell continues to be one of the most sacked quarterbacks. The Commanders are slightly less bad and beat the Giants on the road.
Winner: Washington Commanders
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The NFC South is still up for grabs and this game will have a lot on the line for both teams to get ahead in the division. The Buccaneers offense should play better than Ridder and the Falcons offense despite the lack of a run game. The Buccaneers begin their slow separation from the rest of the division.
Winner: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Detroit Lions at Baltimore Ravens
The Detroit Lions have surpassed many expectations and are on fire right now with a 5-1 record tied for the best record in the league. The Ravens have barely made their way to a 4-2 record, but they always seem to keep games close. With Montgomery hurt, Gibbs playing through injury & LaPorta’s status in question, the Ravens will need to dial their focus down to St. Brown. Roquan Smith has been the difference maker for the Ravens and helps the Ravens defense get the victory.
Winner: Baltimore Ravens
Pittsburgh Steelers at Los Angeles Rams
The Steelers are the only team in the NFL with a winning record and a negative point differential. Their offense is not great and they are going to need to get their act together if they want to compete with the Rams offense who has gotten Cooper Kupp back recently and can put up some serious points. The Rams win in one of the biggest blowouts of the week.
Winner: Los Angeles Rams
Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks are in a must win mode as they have a tough second half of the season where they play San Francisco twice, Dallas, Philly, and the Rams in a 5 week stretch. The Seahawks should be aware of that and put their all into winning over the Cardinals and trying to get above .500 as they can before the rough road begins.
Winner: Seattle Seahawks
Green Bay Packers at Denver Broncos
The Packers are coming off a bye which they needed to give Aaron Jones some more time to heal. He should suit up against Denver and would be perfect if he did because this Denver defense is awful and could make any team look like they are a Super Bowl contender. Jordan Love has the best performance of the season as the Packers roll over a Broncos team who allowed 70 against Miami just a few weeks ago.
Winner: Green Bay Packers
Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs
An AFC West shootout is about to ensue with MVP Patrick Mahomes going up against Pro Bowler Justin Herbert. This is going to be a close game as the Chargers can keep up with anyone, but they can’t finish out games due to poor coaching. Herbert gives it his all but it’s not enough as Mahomes works his magic for Kansas City.
Winner: Kansas City Chiefs
Miami Dolphins at Philadelphia Eagles
The game of the week and maybe a foreshadowing of a potential Super Bowl matchup is the Miami Dolphins facing off against the Philadelphia Eagles. This is going to be a very exciting matchup to watch with two quarterbacks from the 2020 class dueling off against one another. Both teams have top receiving duos and both running games have been improving throughout the year. The biggest issue for both teams is banged up secondaries. It’s going to be a high scoring matchup, but we think the home team gets the edge and outduels the visiting Dolphins with a late score.
Winner: Philadelphia Eagles
San Francisco 49ers at Minnesota Vikings
The 49ers lost their first match of the season against Cleveland, but that was with injuries to CMC & Deebo in the same game. They also faced a top defense in the league in Cleveland. The Vikings defense is on the other end of the spectrum and even without CMC or Deebo if neither of them play, the 49ers offense can still do enough with just Aiyuk & Kittle to light up the Vikings. The 49ers defense is going to be the ones doing more of the heavy lifting here shutting down Kirk Cousins who wishes he had Justin Jefferson back.
