2023 Fantasy Football Week 4: Start Em’ or Sit Em’ Wide Receivers

Each week we’ll break down one player that should start in your fantasy lineup and one that would be better left on the bench per position. There are players like Justin Jefferson and Tyreek Hill who are matchup proof and should be in your starting lineups every week barring a major circumstance.

Wide Receivers to Start:

Adam Thielen

Adam Thielen plays his first game against his former team Minnesota Vikings. If Andy Dalton plays at quarterback, it’s going to be a heavy pass offense and Adam Thielen should excel against his longtime team and make Minnesota wish they re-signed him.

Puka Nacua

We are riding the Puka Nacua train all day long as he’s been sensational. Without Kupp, Nacua has been the clear #1 target for quarterback Matthew Stafford. Until Kupp is back, Nacua is a must start in your lineup every week.

Keenan Allen

Keenan Allen is proving doubters wrong about his age. He’s kicking strong at the age of 31 right now and has a lot left in the tank. He’s put himself in the top tier fantasy wide receiver status thus far and should see an even larger role with Mike Williams shut down for the season.

Wide Receivers to Sit:

Terry McLaurin

Sam Howell is not a great quarterback and the rest of the offense suffers as a result. Brian Robinson Jr is also on our sit list and receivers Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson are as well. McLaurin is a flex at best in deep leagues.

Marquise Brown

Marquise Brown and James Conner have been the two of the centerpieces on the Cardinals offense this season. They surprised last week in a stunning upset over the Cowboys. The Cowboys were scrambling with the loss of Trevon Diggs. The 49ers are a healthier defensive unit and is going to make for a long day for Josh Dobbs and the Cardinals offense.

Jakobi Meyers

Up until the news of Jimmy G, we had Jakobi Meyers in the start status. Without Jimmy G, the Raiders are going to need to turn to a rookie who hasn’t seen any action or a 15 year veteran. We don’t think Davante Adams or Jakobi Meyers will perform as well without Jimmy G. Adams still is a WR2 this week, but Meyers should be faded out of lineups.
