2023 Fantasy Football Week 3: Start Em’ or Sit Em’ Quarterbacks

Each week we’ll break down three players that should start in your fantasy lineup and three that would be better left on the bench per position. There are players like Patrick Mahomes & Josh Allen who are matchup proof and should be in your starting lineups every week barring a major circumstance.

Quarterbacks to Start:

Kirk Cousins

The Vikings and Chargers face off in what should be the highest scoring game of the week. Both have fire-power offenses with weak secondaries. Cousins is a start and should easily have 300+ yards in this affair.

Jared Goff

The Lions got humbled last week against the Seahawks and the offense took a hit when Montgomery went down. The Lions get a little bit of an easier matchup against Atlanta and we’re expecting a pass heavy game from the Lions offense. Goff is someone we’d look to stream this week.

Jordan Love

One of the biggest fantasy surprises at quarterback thus far has been Jordan Love. He’s thrown 3 passing touchdowns in two consecutive games and with Aaron Jones still banged up, it’s likely that he’ll be able to accomplish that feat again.

Quarterbacks to Sit:

Justin Fields

There’s been a clear disconnect between Justin Fields and the rest of the offense. Against a Chiefs defense that has all-pro Chris Jones and having a weak offensive line, it’s going to be a day Fields is going to wish he can forget.

Trevor Lawrence

When facing Houston, the Jacksonville Jaguars heavily rely on the running game. Trevor Lawrence shouldn’t need to do much as the Jaguars will run all over the Texans.

Dak Prescott

Similar to Trevor Lawrence, the Cowboys should go up big early and Dak Prescott just won’t be needed. That’s been the story for the Cowboys this year as Dak hasn’t had to do much because of how dominant they have been everywhere else. The Cowboys are going to put on a clinic against the Cardinals.
